Nintendo Direct is off to a great start as Nintendo announced today that the popular orb-matching game Puzzle & Dragons is coming to 3DS.
For those unfamiliar, Puzzle & Dragons, like the name suggests, is mostly a puzzle game that features RPG and strategy elements. In it, you go on adventures in dungeons and encounter enemies that you must defeat by matching colorful orbs using the touchscreen.
In an even bigger surprise, Nintendo announced that both Puzzle & Dragons Z and Puzzle & Dragons Super Mario Bros. Edition will be released as a bundle. Super Mario Bros. Edition is basically the same type of gameplay, except you play as Mario traveling through a world to save Princess Peach from Bowser. Like the traditional version, you'll form a party, except it will be with other Super Mario characters like Luigi and even Goombas.
