Once one of the PlayStation 3’s most well-known exclusives, Heavy Rain is now out on the PC. Quantic Dream’s breakout title from last-gen is available right now exclusively on the Epic Games Store at a budget price of just $19.99. Interested readers should be delighted that a demo is also available for them to try out here.
Almost 10 years have passed since Heavy Rain came out originally for the PS3. It was right at the height of Sony’s last-gen system, where one big exclusive followed the other, and Quantic Dream’s rather unique take on the 3D adventure instantly became a cult classic. Yes, rather funny bugs or hilarious sequences also made the game meme material but make no mistake, it’s the unusual blend of mature themes with a focus on cinematic presentation which really left an impression on gamers. We, like most game sites, thoroughly enjoyed our time with Heavy Rain which you can read in detail in our original PS3 review here.
While the game is still the same, the PC version comes with lots of bells and whistles courtesy of the PC platform. Ultra-high 4K resolutions, widescreen compatibility and 60 frames per second are going to be simply breathtaking for PC gamers. And since the game is from last-gen, the system requirements are rather on the mid-tier which is an added bonus.
Best of all, the game retails for just $19.99 over at the Epic Games Store, where Heavy Rain is exclusively available. For how long this timed exclusivity will last is not known but Heavy Rain and their other future PC ports will make an appearance at a later point on other digital stores in the future. In the meantime, make sure to head on over to Heavy Rain’s demo page on the Epic Games Store, where you can download and play 45 minutes of the game for free.
