This year’s Major League Baseball race on video game consoles was looking to be a runaway after 2K Sports announced that they had not renewed its contract with the league to produce a baseball title, leaving PlayStation’s MLB: The Show the only branded baseball game on the market.
However, Tuesday night Major League Baseball’s public relations department and Major League Baseball Advanced Media announced that R.B.I. Baseball 14 will be releasing this spring on current and next-gen consoles, along with a release on tablets and smartphones as well.
The last R.B.I. Baseball game released in 1995 as Super R.B.I. Baseball on Super NES, developed by Gray Matter and published by Time Warner Interactive.
