Three years later, the racing game Blur is back, but it's not on consoles or PC. Nope, this one's for mobile, and it's a free-to-play game out on Android tonight and iOS on Nov. 1.
Blur Overdrive, as it's called, is made by Nottingham-based App Crowd, a "specialist racing studio." Publisher Marmalade Play has licensed the brand from Activision.
The original title, which released for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC, was critically well received but didn't do as well in sales. It competed with the release of fellow racers ModNation Racers and Split/Second, and its poor performance led Activision to close down Liverpool developer Bizarre Creations.
Now Blur lives on.
