Ragnarok Odyssey: Mercenary Edition announced

XSEED has announced that it will launch a special edition version of the upcoming Ragnarok Odyssey for the Vita. Priced at $49.99, Ragnarok Odyssey: Mercenary Edition will include a soundtrack CD, a Mercenary Guide with artwork and strategies, and a 10-pack of Monster Cards. The regular edition of the game will be priced at $39.99

Ragnarok Odyssey takes the lore and mythos of Ragnarok Online and creates a handheld RPG experience that looks to be accessible and stylish. The game looks pretty cool, with a vibrant art style and crazy attacks. Additionally, it will rely on some unexpected gameplay elements not seen often in RPGs such as time limits and a lives system.

Ragnarok Odyssey is due out on Sony's latest handheld this October. If you fancy yourself an RPG enthusiast, watch out for it. And for a closer at look at the game, check out our preview from E3.
