Rainbow Six Patriot First View – Terrorism Evolved

Today Ubisoft released an official ‘first view’ of their new title Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six: Patriot.  While this is the public’s first glimpse of the game, Ubisoft makes it clear that this video is NOT game footage but just a likeness of what they are trying to plan with the game.  For a game being released in 2013, it looks preeeeeetty amazing.

To say the clip is intense – would be a pretty large understatement.  The false impression of a happy-go-lucky life quickly changes as the attackers barge into well-off home and take hostages.  During certain scenes where the player isn’t in charge, there are still buttons that can be pressed to make effects happen.  Without the privilege of playing this myself, I can’t say for sure if the options are necessary or not to press.  At the end of the in footage, there is a decision the player needs to make by pressing the square button.  The player chooses to press it, I wonder if there would be a different outcome if he / she didn’t or if it was necessary to survive.

I strongly suggest taking the 6:28 to watch this clip to get the seed of Patriot planted in your head for over a year of wait time.  Enjoy!
