Rainbow Six Siege gives a look at competitive gameplay through the Spectator Camera Mode

Ubisoft has given us an in-depth look at the upcoming tactical shooter Rainbow Six Siege through the game's Spectator Camera Mode. The Spectator Camera will work similarly to the way it does in games like League of Legends, it will allow an eleventh player to spectate any competitive game mode in Siege from either first-person point of view or top-down Tactical View.

The video above gives a great look at both views in-game and in-turn gives us a great look at the way the tactical shooter will work out in 5v5 multiplayer games. Spectators have the option following individual players or go the "free-cam" route to observe everyone in the game as an all seeing eye, all knowing eye.

Ubisoft touts that Spectators will watch in real-time, but that poses a problem for cheaters – so hopefully its delayed.

Rainbow Six: Siege will be released on PS4, Xbox One and PC on 13 October.
