Rangarok Odyssey now available on PS Vita

Ragnarok Odyssey, the action-RPG from XSEED and developer GungHo Online Entertainment, has launched. The game is available now on Vita for $39.99.

Based on the Ragnarok Online franchise, Odyssey continues the lore of the series and delivers a brand new experience on Sony's handheld gaming device. Already the game has managed to garner some positive reactions from gamers across Japan, so it'll be interesting to see how the title fares here in North America.

Players can create and customize their character and then send him off into the world of Ragnarok Odyssey. The game features six job classes, real-time combat, co-op, and massive beasts. Yay for large creatures that you get to battle! Oh, and in case you're wondering, the four-player co-op offers both ad-hoc and online functionality.

Ragnarok Odyssey is available at retail and on the PlayStation Network. You can also snag the Mercenary Edition which includes some neat goodies such as Monster Cards, a soundtrack CD, and the 96-page Mercenary Guide.
