Ratchet & Clank ‘re-imagining’ for PS4 delayed to 2016

The list of PlayStation 4 exclusives coming in 2016 got a bit longer, as Insomniac Games confirmed yesterday that their Ratchet & Clank "re-imagining" for PS4 has been delayed.

Insomniac has pushed back their game to Spring 2016 in order to coincide with the Ratchet & Clank CG-animated film coming April 29, 2016.

Elaborating a bit more on the new PS4 game, Insomniac Games Ryan Schneider explained it "re-tells the story that ties in closely and expands upon the movie's narrative." It will also feature new levels along with reimagined classic locales like Metropolis, brand new weapons and completely redone visuals that make use of the PS4's power.

"While you might have to wait a bit longer than expected, rest assured we’re using the time wisely to further polish the game to a spit-shine level, with dazzling shader response, awe-inspiring effects, velvety smooth animations, and spectacular new gameplay segments. Really, we can’t wait to show it to you," Schneider concluded.

In addition to the Ratchet & Clank movie's release date, the star-studded cast of the film was also revealed. Check out the amazing cast of talent here.
