Remember when your phone was only able to run snake? Then years later a game where you had to match up like colored jewels? Gaming on phones has sure come a long way since then. You can still get your fix with Angry Birds or Tiny Wings, but now there are games for people looking for something meatier.
While Ravensword: Shadowlands isn't the first open world RPG on phone devices, it is one of the best looking. You also can't help but get a sense of Skyrim from it, which is in no way a bad thing.
The game admittedly looks bad ass, not to mention it runs on a phone. Unfortunately I seem to be the minority in thinking games like this are actually great for smartphone users. You wouldn't believe the amount of hate this game already has, simply because of a lack of physical controls and the fact that it's played on such a small screen.
I, for one, am all for innovation for the mobile market. With the iOS and Android devices continually advancing, it wouldn't be shocking to see near console like experiences in everyones pocket in a few years from now.
The trailer doesn't divulge a release date, but sources claim we might get to see it later this year.
