Fans aren't happy that Ubisoft is delaying the release of Rayman Legends to catch up with the new Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 versions, and the company is scrambling to make amends — not with a demo, as previously confirmed, but with a free challenge mode.
The company is releasing "the full online challenge mode of the game exclusively to the Wii U fans," and it's an online feature set in five different locales with different gameplay styles. The Dungeon, for example, was made specifically for the Wii U. You can play alone or with up to five players at once, or you can invite friends and compete on leaderboards and against ghosts.
These challenges are coming to the Wii U eShop around the beginning of April. You can watch the announcement from senior game manager Michael Micholic and creative director Michel Ancel below.
