Recruit a friend to buy an Xbox One and get a year of EA Access for free

Persuading your friends to spend money, so you get free games

Microsoft has begun a campaign in the UK that will have current Xbox One owners persuading their friends to also purchase the console.

The offer for Xbox One owners is a free year of EA Access for themselves and the individual they recruit to purchase an Xbox One. It seems as though the offer is limited to the  £314.99 Xbox One bundle that comes with a black 500GB Xbox One, 3-month membership to Xbox Live and a copy of Forza Horizon 2.

EA Access runs at £3.99 ($4.99) per month or £19.99 ($29.99) per year and gives subscribers unlimited access to EA games in the Vault:  Battlefield 4, Need For Speed Rivals, FIFA 15, Plants vs Zombies: Garden Warfare, and more. EA Access subcribers also get to experience games prior to release (like Star Wars Battlefront) and get a 10% discount on EA game purchases on the Xbox Store.

Apparently the deal has only been sent to select Xbox One owners, so check the email address linked to your Xbox Live Account to see whether or not you should start convincing your friends. It hasn't been made clear what Microsoft's basis of selection is for who gets the email, but it seems limited to the UK so far.
