Red Dead Redemption 2 PC trailer basks in the glory of 4K 60FPS

Rockstar has released the first gameplay footage of the PC port for Red Dead Redemption 2 with a PC trailer. As expected from the platform, the video showcases the already gorgeous open-world game in full 4K resolutions and 60fps. Watch it here!

After countless leaks and rumors, Red Dead Redemption 2 is finally inbound for the PC. Rockstar finally officially announced the PC port earlier this month but in terms of footage, we sadly didn’t get a whole lot to swoon over. Today, this changes with the first-ever look at the PC version of RDR2 in action. There isn’t new stuff shown in this video but how it is shown is the real differentiator. You see, even if you played the game already to death on consoles, we guarantee you haven’t witnessed it like this.

Watch the new trailer above to see Red Dead Redemption 2 in stunning 4K/60 frames per second and see how packed full of new details and greater fidelity every corner of this vast open world is. From the claw marks of a passing bear at the base of a tree in Big Valley and the individual spines on a cactus in New Austin, to a train passing on a far horizon and embers sparkling in the New Hanover night sky.

The most obvious aspect is the framerate. For the first time, we are seeing RDR2 in full 60fps. It’s a revelation to any gamer who is a fan of smooth gameplay, both in visuals and input latency. That alone makes the PC port a must-have but wait, there’s more! Things you might not notice at first sight are improvements across basically every single visual setting. Draw distances have been increased, making the vast open-world feel even denser than ever. Shadows, lighting, textures and more have also been increased which will make Red Dead Redemption 2 on PC the most beautiful version of it. If your hardware is up to the task of course. You can read up on the system requirements here.

Red Dead Redemption 2 is coming out November 5th via the Rockstar Games Launcher and Epic Games Store, with a Steam release following in December.
