Rockstar Games has officially put all of the Red Dead Redemption 2 release date rumors to rest. The game developer has officially announced when we will be returning to the Wild West and it’s not going to be in Spring.
Red Dead Redemption 2 will be releasing on October 26th, 2018. The game was originally set to release in 2017 and was delayed to Spring 2018 in May 2017. With the game being pushed back once more to Fall 2018, Rockstar apologizes to fans who are disappointed by the delay. According to Rockstar, the game was delayed in order to get some extra polish.
“We are excited to announce that Red Dead Redemption 2 will be released on October 26th 2018. We apologize to everyone disappointed by this delay. While we had hoped to have the game out sooner, we require a little extra time for polish.
“We sincerely thank you for your patience and hope that when you get to play the game, you will agree the wait will have been worth it. In the meantime, please check out these screenshots from the game. We look forward to sharing a lot more information with you in the coming weeks.”
Along with the announcement, Rockstar released a number of new screenshots from Red Dead Redemption 2 and it’s looking great.
