I've never wanted a 3D printer as bad as I do right now. Aside from making cool props, you can also do imaginative things like a certain Reddit user, Blostafarian, who turned his Amazon Dot into a larger-than-life version of a Ghost from Destiny 2.
The shell of the "Ghost" is made of 3D printed plastic and as you can see in the image above, it's a little rough, but with some sanding and a little artistic touch, it could be made to look very realistic. Using Amazon's Dot, which is powered by the company's personal assistant AI, Alexa, Blostafarian can issue commands at his newly minted Ghost and get things like the weather, play music, get answers to random questions and even place orders on Amazon.
The Reddit user hasn't really said much about his creation, but the most commonly asked question, "how much?" Depending on the cost to produce a piece that large, it could be a mini gold mine. Would you buy a DIY plastic shell for an Amazon Dot and make your own Ghost assistant? I guess it just depends on how much you enjoy Destiny.
Destiny 2 is available now on Xbox One and PS4 for $59.99 and higher, for deluxe versions).
