Redner Group Twitter Gaffe

The PR agency for Duke Nukem Forever, Redner Group, had the tweet that rocked the gaming world–and not in a good way. After many less than stellar reviews (and that’s putting it kindly) of Duke Nukem Forever, @TheRednerGroup posted this to Twitter: “Too many went too far with their reviews. We r reviewing who gets games next time and who doesn’t based on today’s venom.” Cool story, bro.

Fast forward to now, and 2K has issued a statement: “2K Games does not endorse or condone the comments made by @TheRednerGroup and confirm they no longer represent our products. We maintain a mutually respectful relationship with the press and will continue to do so. We don’t condone@TheRednerGroup’s actions at all.”

Guess that’s what you get when you try to blackmail reviewers into giving your game good reviews. James Redner is now remorseful from the fallout of his tweet. Losing 2K as your client will do that to you.
