Regular and premium editions announced for Zone of the Enders HD

Konami has confirmed a release date for the Zone of the Enders HD Collection in Japan. The game will arrive on October 25 and sometime in the fall for North America and Europe.

In addition, Konami revealed the game would come packaged as regular and premium editions. The latter will contain "Chronicle" and "ReBOOT" booklets, featuring information on development from creator Hideo Kojima and art director Yoji Shinkawa. The premium version will also include a ReBOOT Edition remixed music CD.

The collection contains Zone of the Enders and its sequel, The 2nd Runner. Japanese studio Sunrise (responsible for the anime Code Geass) is producing a new animated opening for the release.

The first Zone of the Enders game was released in 2001.
