Release your inner primate tomorrow with Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D

If you’re a mad Donkey Kong fan and didn’t get enough with Donkey Kong Country Returns on Wii back in 2010, you’re about to get yet another chance to enjoy this classic. As of tomorrow, you’ll be able pick up Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D for your 3DS. On top of the classic game you know and love, there will a slew of new features for your enjoyment.

The ‘New Mode’ with enhance all sorts of portable play such as granting you new items and gameplay features:

Donkey and Diddy Kong having three hearts each (instead of two in ‘Original Mode’), making things a little easier for those new to the franchise. The helpful items in New Mode include portable “DK Barrels”, which players can use at any time to have access to Diddy Kong; “Green Balloons”, used to protect Donkey and Diddy Kong from falling off a cliff or ledge; and “Crash Guards”, which make players temporarily invincible in rocket barrel or mine cart areas.

Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D will also have eight difficult new levels. These are part of the new ninth world which is unlocked after finishing the rest of the game. There is also co-op play if you don’t want to Donkey Kong alone. With an additional copy of the game and a wireless connection, you got yourself a monkey pal to play the game through. Collect ALL the bananas!
