Release Date for Guitar Hero:
Metallica Revealed
Next entry in the Guitar Hero
franchise launches on March 29
In a news posting on their
official website, heavy metal group Metallica have revealed that their
upcoming entry to the Guitar Hero franchise, Guitar Hero: Metallica, will
release in North America on March 29 for Xbox 360 and Playstation 3. The PS2 and
Wii versions will launch later this spring.
Guitar Hero: Metallica represents
the seventh entry to the franchise to release on home consoles, and the second
to be based on a specific band, following Guitar Hero: Aerosmith’s launch last
year. Aside from featuring tracks from Metallica’s catalog of hit metal songs,
the game will also feature music from bands like Queen, Mastodon, and Slayer.
Additionally, the game will feature a new mode, Expert+, which will offer a
higher difficulty as well as double bass pedal support for drum players.
