Well, now this perks up my interest at 5 AM. Remedy has filed a trademark for the next Alan Wake game called "Alan Wake's Return".
The filing was spotted on Neogaf after being filed on February 23rd via a fast track system. A website of the same name, Alanwakereturns.com, has also been registered under the authority of Network Solutions, which just so happens to be the same company to have registered Remedy's previous domains as well. The trademark filing was for the words and falls under the category of Class 28 Games and playthings as well as Class 41 Education; providing of training; entertainment; sporting and cultural activities. The Class 9 listing is for a number of things, including compact discs and DVD's.
So, it is most likely a game but may also be some sort of web series. Until we here from Remedy, which should be soon since the trademark was fast tracked, we'll have to speculate. It doesn't matter, however, as we now know another Alan Wake installment is officially on the way.
