Nintendo timed the launch of its more affordable 2DS system pretty well: It's this Saturday, the same day as the release of Pokémon X and Y.
The 2DS costs $130 and plays 3DS and DS games. That's $40 less than the cheapest 3DS — or enough savings to get you Pokémon. Whoa. Mind — blown.
So this is especially good news for people who have been holding out on a 3DS exclusively for Game Freak's signature series.
