Grand Theft Auto 5 is sure to be one of next year's most anticipated titles, so if you want to ensure that you get a copy of the game come launch day, you may want to pre-order it early. Pre-orders for GTA 5 have officially opened today, November 5th, giving fans a chance to reserve their copy early — despite knowing relatively nothing about the game.
Details for Grand Theft Auto 5, which isn't set to release until spring 2013, have been vague. Aside from the announcement trailer and a few screenshots, information about the game has been sparse. Rockstar Games did have plans to release a second trailer this month, but Hurricane Sandy "derailed" their plans. They did promise to show something soon, however.
In the meantime, we'll have to settle for the upcoming Game Informer issue which will feature over 18 pages of details and screenshots for the game. The next issue is set to release on November 8, 2012.
It's also worth noting that as of this time Rockstar is currently only focused on the console versions of GTA 5, meaning you can only pre-order the game for Xbox 360 or PS3. Below is a list of links to some retailers who you can pre-order from. A recent letter set to Target employees revealed a bonus Los Santos Photo Viewer for those who pre-order the game, but surprisingly the retailer hasn't posted the product yet.
