Reminder: PlanetSide 2 PS4 closed beta begins tomorrow

As I'm sure many of you are well-aware, the closed beta for the PS4 version of PlanetSide 2 launches tomorrow, January 20th. And this is just a reminder that tomorrow at 12:30pm ET we'll be posting our full interview with Sony Online Entertainment.

The interview contains tons of info about the closed beta, including many of the questions you guys asked. Expect answers about the frame rate, invite system, PS4-specific features, and the overall content of the beta itself. We'd love to share this information with you gusy soon, and if it was up to us we would. Unfortunately, it's not.

What we can say right now, though, is basically a repeat of what SOE told us during the initial announcement. The beta period will be used to test servers, performance, and other aspects of the game, while giving SOE a chance to hear feedback from players directly. A "few thousand" players will be invited into the beta at the beginning, and SOE will continue to invite more players in waves throughout the beta process. Invites will be sent out to players in chronological order of when you signed up.

So that's all for now, but remember to check back tomorrow at 12:30pm ET for a more in-depth look at the PlanetSide 2 PS4 closed beta.
