Sony's planned maintenance of the PlayStation Network will last approximately five-and-a-half hours — should everything go as planned. Of course, anyone familiar with PSN maintenance knows it's typically extended beyond the estimated window.
As of right now though, the maintenance is scheduled to for today from 8:30am to 2:00pm Pacific (11:30am to 5:00pm Eastern Time). "We expect this maintenance to last approximately 5.5 hours," Sony says.
As usual, if you've signed in to the network at any time since March 6th, you should still be able to play games online and access partner apps like Netflix during this period. However, the PlayStation Store, PlayStation Home, and Account Management will not be available during this time.
"We thank you for your patience and support and apologize for any inconvenience this may cause," Sony adds.
