Just like how Puddle came to Wii U with the help of Neko Entertainment, so too could 'Replay — VHS is not dead'.
The puzzle game arrived on Steam last week and GameZone did an interview with game designer Danial Karimimanjili to learn how its early ideas took shape over time. What was described as a "small prototype" is now available for a wide audience — and there's potential for that to grow beyond the PC environment.
Karimimanjili shared that the team of fresh graduates is discussing the possibility of Replay — VHS is not dead on the Wii U eShop, especially after seeing the reception of other indie hits. "We are thinking about bringing the game [to] consoles like the Wii U," he said, "which is great for old-school platformer games like Shovel Knight and puzzle games like Puddle or Teslagrad."
Reaching the long-awaited destination of the game's launch is satisfying on its own, but the potential to further its reach (and gather platform-specific data in the process) could mean a stronger presence for Replay over the long-term.
