Resident Evil 6 is without a doubt the series' most ambitious outing yet, featuring three sets of playable characters, a variety of locales, and a staff claiming that the game will rival the success of Modern Warfare 3. Thing is, it takes a lot of people to make a game of that scope. We'd estimate fifty, maybe even a hundred.
Wait, six hundred people?
Really?!
Crazy as it might sound, Capcom is claiming over six hundred people are involved in the development of Resident Evil 6. Obviously not all of them are busy writing code, and they may be fudging the numbers a bit by including the janitor in the headcount, but still, that's one huge staff. We'll have to wait and see whether this gathering of talented minds results in a truly great game, or if the documented effects of groupthink bring this high-profile project crashing down, Bay of Pigs style.
Am I on record as the first game journalist to compare Resident Evil 6 to JFK's failed invasion of Cuba? Just making sure.
