For gamers that haven't grabbed Resident Evil 7 yet, it's probably best to wait it out for the next couple of months as Capcom has announced that they will be releasing Resident Evil 7: Gold Edition on December 12th, 2017. Capcom announced the new bundle in a post on their official blog, alongside the reveal of the release date of the previously delayed "Not a Hero" DLC as well as an all-new paid DLC called "End of Zoe" both of which come with the Gold Edition.
"Not a Hero" stars Chris Redfield as he pursues an "elusive foe" in a storyline that takes place immediately after the events of the game, but functions as a much different take on the new mechanics of the game. The description reads like a more action-oriented approach with Redfield coming packed "fully prepared with new weapons and equipment."
Here's the full description:
"Join Resident Evil mainstay Chris Redfield as he battles his way through the horrors that lurk underneath the Baker’s mansion, fully prepared with new weapons and equipment designed to counter bio organic threats and navigate the maze-like caverns beneath the Baker mansion. Encounters with deadly foes lurk around every corner – including a new type of enemy."
There isn't a whole lot that has been revealed about the "End of Zoe" DLC, only that it "takes place after the events of Resident Evil 7 biohazard and "Not a Hero," and explores the fate of the Baker’s daughter."
The "End of Zoe" DLC comes as a separate purchase for those who already own the standard game, but the price point has not yet been revealed.
Resident Evil 7 is available now on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
