Resident Evil: Revelations for consoles gets new playable characters and a more powerful enemies

Arriving May 21st of this year, Resident Evil: Revelations will finally be coming to Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PC, and Wii U for our entertainment. If you’re like me and don’t own any hand held systems, this is pretty sweet news. Along with the game, you can also expect some new characters showing up, as well. In Raid mode, both Hunk and Rachel will be making appearances as playable characters. This weekend, at PAX East, you’ll even be able to try them out early at the Capcom booth (#948).

Besides new playable characters, the console version of Resident Evil: Revelations will also contain some powerful new enemies in Raid Mode — most notably, the grotesque Wall Blister. There will be one more surprise monster, but you’ll have to reach a certain level to encounter it (it may or may not be the infected Rachel in the picture).

The Wii U will have tons of GamePad functionality allowing for quick access to maps and weapons; you'll also be able to use the pro controller. Regardless of your preference, you can play on the GamePad and utilize the Off TV play.

As a Resident Evil fan who has never played Revelations, I’m liking everything I’m seeing. May is approaching rapidly.
