Resistance: Burning Skies coming to PS Vita on May 29th

In yesterday's PS Vita livechat, PlayStation's John Koller revealed the release date for Resistance: Burning Skies on the PlayStation Vita.  In case you thought it was a slip up, Sony officially confirmed the release date, announcing the Chimera will invade PS Vita on May 29, 2012.

Resistance: Burning Skies marks the first time a dual-analog FPS will be released for a portable console.  Built from teh ground-up specifically for the PS Vita, Burning Skies takes advantage of many of the system's features including front and rear touchscreen controls which add an entirely new dimension to the gameplay.

"Resistance: Burning Skies pulls you into an entirely new dimension of the Resistance universe. Set in a tale of survival during the August 1951 Chimeran invasion of the East Coast, you take control of Tom Riley, an everyday firefighter from New Jersey who is thrown headfirst into the teeth of the Chimeran war machine, forcing him to redefine his notions of duty and heroism."

Resistance: Burning Skies will be available for $39.99 and can be pre-ordered as early as today.
