Respawn confirms Titanfall 2 for Xbox One, PS4, and PC

Respawn Entertainment CEO doesn't play coy with Titanfall sequel

Electronic Arts has yet to officially announce a sequel to its hit first-person shooter Titanfall, but it isn't a secret that it's in development either. Well now it's official — kind of. Coming from mouth of developer Respawn Entertainment CEO Vince Zampella, speaking to IGN in a pre-BAFTA Game Awards show interview, it's confirmed that a Titanfall sequel is in development, that it's coming to Xbox One, PC, and PS4.

"I guess EA announced a sequel, so I could play coy and pretend I don't know anything about it, or… yeah. So we're working on a sequel. No official name yet, but we're working on that," Zampella said. "That's the main focus but we're starting up a second team and doing some smaller stuff too. Small, exploratory, taking it slow! It'll be multiplatform."

Zampella didn't mention what will be different in Titanfall 2, but he did say what Respawn could have done differently in the original Titanfall.

"We put some single-player elements in there though, and tried to mix it up. Maybe we could have mixed things up a bit better because some people blew right by it and didn't even see it because there was so much action happening around it," he said.

"It's tough, because if you hit people over the head with it it becomes intrusive, and there are people who don't want or care about it."

There you have it folks. Titanfall 2 is coming. And to PlayStation, too!

Heads up: The DLC is free on the Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PC right now.
