Retailer ‘excitement’ causes LittleBigPlanet Vita to hit store shelves early

Over the weekend, Twitter blew up with excitement that certain retailers had broken the LittleBigPlanet Vita launch date, allowing users to snag a copy of game before its actual planned September 25th release.

As it turns out, the move has been approved by Sony who confirmed "production on LittleBigPlanet PlayStation Vita was completed earlier than expected, and due to the excitement from our retail partners, some have decided to put it on shelves as soon as the product was received."

Although you'll be able to fully enjoy all of the game's offline features, the servers will not go live until tomorrow, September 18. The digital release is still scheduled for September 25.
