Retro Studios developing new game? Hires artists from Uncharted 3 and Darksiders

Retro Studios, the developers behind popular the Metroid games and Mario Kart 7, could be working on an unannounced IP.  Two talented artists, Eric Kozlowsky (of Naughty Dog and Square Enix) and Gray Ginther (of THQ and Insomniac Games) are both now listed as working for Retro Studios on LinkedIn.

For those unfamiliar, Eric Kozlowsky worked as an Environment artist at Naughty Dog on Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception.  Gray Ginther has worked as a 3D character artist on Darksiders and the Ratch & Clank series.

Other than those job changes and a very intriguing quote from Kozlowsky, not much else is known about the potential new game, except that Kozlowsky is very proud of it.

Kozlowsky wrote on his blog:

"I am going to work on another project that I am super excited about.  I can't talk about it too much but if all goes well it might just be one of my crowning achievemetns as an artist…"

Let the speculation begin.
