Ridiculous Fishing splashes onto Android soon

Vlambeer is finally bringing its popular game Ridiculous Fishing to Android devices.

The developer revealed in a blog post that it's been working on the port since March with the help of Apportable.

"That port is now almost done, and the next time you see us mentioning this should be when it releases. It might be sooner than you think," wrote Vlambeer.

I'm surprised that Vlambeer wants to venture into Android waters after its struggles with piracy, but Apportable has a good portfolio with ports of games like Kingdom Rush and Superbrothers: Sword & Sworcery (although the Android version of that pulled in relatively few sales). So it's perhaps natural the developer would enlist the company's assistance.
