Ridley Scott is not ready to ride off into retirement just yet. The excitement emanating from him in regards to anything and everything Alien is apparent when he's asked a question. In fact, Fandango appears to have inadvertently gotten the long time director to spill the beans on the title for the next Alien film that he will be making next.
It's called Alien: Awakening.
When asked how many more Alien movies are officially in the works, Scott replied:
"There will be another one before we kind of literally and logically, clockwise, back into the rear back head of [the original] Alien.It will go Prometheus, Awakening, Covenant.. fairly integral where this colonization ship is on the way…."
It's amazing the things that can slip out completely by accident, without any provocation. And there we have it, the next movie that will release after Covenant will be called Awakening. Although, the order of the films is somewhat curious as Scott indicates that the next film will come before the unreleased Alien: Covenant but after Prometheus.
This is by no means an official confirmation of the order, but it certainly sounds like that is the intention. That said, things can always change. On top of that, Ridley Scott has more Alien in mind if these movies prove to be successful.
