Exclusively available only on the PC at the moment, Valorant is gunning for a coveted spot among genre giants like CS:GO, Overwatch, and Rainbow Six Siege. So, there’s enough work cut out for Riot Games. But if there’s one thing the studio has proven, it’s that they understand how to keep a multiplayer game alive and make it great while doing so. There’s no reason to undersell just how influential the developer’s MOBA League of Legends is. But that’s also why expectations for Valorant are probably much higher than if it was another developer at the helm. If the closed beta from earlier this year is anything to go by, Riot Games ought to have a hit in their hands. It all depends on how the game develops.
On that front, players can look forward to an ever-growing list of hero characters and tweaks to the game’s balance. And of course plenty of in-game customization.
