At the International Consumer Electronics Show (CES Asia) it was revealed that Riot Games owner/majority shareholder, Tencent in conjunction with Intel and appliance company Haier, will be coming out with a new console for the Asian market. This Tencent Games Platform (known as the TGP Box) will be called the Blade.
Haier handled the hardware, Intel worked on the "advanced computing platform" and Tencent handled the system development and game content importation. This new console will have a mode to let players do the typical console based tasks like downloading or uploading games from the store, starting local games and even live streaming. The Blade will also come with Windows 10 and a sixth gen Intel i3, i5, or i7.
The Blade will not be limited to Tencent related properties but will also have games from various third-parties. If and when this console will be available in markets outside of Asia remains unknown.
