While PlayStation 4 owners will have to patiently await the release of Rise of the Tomb Raider, Steam has been updated to confirm the January release date for the upcoming game. In December, Amazon France listed Rise of the Tomb Raider for a January 29th, 2016 release.
The official Steam store page for the game has listed it for a January 2016 release – while the exact date hasn't been confirmed, it does corroborate with the Amazon France release date.
Rise of the Tomb Raider released exclusively on Xbox consoles in November, but the game's exclusivity was always said to 'have a duration.' According to rumors, PS4 owners will have to wait longer for the game than PC gamers because Square Enix is looking to avoid releasing near Uncharted 4. Seeing as how Uncharted 4 has been delayed until April, this rumor seems unlikely.
