Rise pursues her true self in new Persona 4: Dancing All Night trailer

Every Monday I wake up with the fear of an entire week going by without any Persona news. I mean, what is the point of a world with no such updates? You’re right, unknown. Well rest easy young ‘case of the Mondayers,’ Persona 4: Dancing All Night news has come fast and has come gloriously. This specific trailer stars heart throb idol Rise Kujikawa. The song playing in the background is “Pursuing my True Self" by none other than Shihoko Hirata.

Besides shots from various forms of gameplay, the video also showcases the various costumes Rise can wear. Shown in the trailer is her Dancing All Night outfit which we’ve come to know, her school uniform, her street clothes from Persona 4, and an impish outfit. What this tells us is that we can probably expect a specific ‘default’ outfit, the school uniform, and street clothes for each character in the game. Probably a strange outfit as well, similar to Rise’s devil outfit.

The good folk over at animenewsnetwork translated Rise’s speech for us non-Japanese speakers. Some of these lines are so corny, but I really don’t expect or desire anything else. Enjoy the trailer playing above and dance your worries away.    

Rise: Let's get this party started! Don't be late! I'll make you my captive.
Rise: Dance isn't just something for making a rhythm. You should just put your feelings on the beat and move as you feel.
Rise: Just what is that world? The name "Mayonaka Stage" (Midnight Stage) also gets me wondering.
Rise: What you have isn't bonds! It's just brain-washing!
Rise: We're gonna set EVERYONE free!
Rise: I'll convey it to you. Here we go.
Rise: Us idols aren't dolls! We're going to convey all of our feelings to that person. I'll show that person what everything of what I've done up until now.
Rise: There's now way you can form bonds with people if they don't know your true self! Here we go!
Rise: I'm going to specially show you Risechi's revival show!

Persona 4: Dancing All Night  is coming out June 25th in Japan, no release date yet in North America. It IS coming though, don't yet fret.
