RIVE gives us a peek at gameplay; Coming to PC, PS4, Wii U, and Xbox One

Have you been on the RIVE train?

If you have a PC, Playstation 4, Wii U, or Xbox One you might want to start paying attention to it. RIVE first came around in 2005 as a 3D shooter for the Nintendo DS, but it was all just talk then. When 2013 came around, RIVE came back, and here we are today — actually looking at some gameplay.

Here's how the games developers describe RIVE:

RIVE is a 2D shooter / platformer with old school gaming values in a decidedly new school execution. During the game's intense 360 degree shooting and platforming action, players learn to alter the behavior of their robotic enemies by collecting and uploading hacks.

We can expect RIVE in early 2015 on the PC, Playstation 4, Wii U, and Xbox One.
