Rocket League on Xbox One won’t support any type of cross-platform gameplay

That's... pretty baffling

Rocket League has officially been announced for the Xbox One, which is fantastic because a bigger audience needs to experience the crazy, stupid and fun shenanigans that game has to offer. And hey, they're giving Xbox players three DLCs included with it that PC and PS4 players had to pay for. Not too shabby!

However, the cool part about Rocket League on other platforms is that they were able to play against each other. PC and PS4 players could play against one another, and while the game never made any sort of distinction between what platform players were on, it made the pool of available players that much bigger. It's baffling that the Xbox One version isn't at least compatible with PC players, given how much Microsoft is pushing the Xbox One and PC cross compatibility.

Xbox One owners can get their hands on Rocket League when it launches February 2016.
