Rocket League Season 1 rewards revealed

With February's patch, the first season of competitive Rocket League will come to a close. Detailed in a recent post on Steam, developer Psyonix revealed the rewards that await anyone who reached "Bronze" Division or higher in the Ranked Play ladder.

The rewards will come in the form of Limited Edition Crowns with Bronze, Silver, Gold, and Platinum variants. The reward will be based on your highest Division rank at the time Season 1 ends, meaning if you were Silver II in 1v1, but Gold I in 2v2, you'll receive a Gold Crown.

Also arriving in February's patch is the introduction of "Item Qualities." Items will now have a "Quality" tag and color that can be identified when the Item is dropped. These Qualities are:

  • Common (Grey) – Stock items. All the items you've come to love!
  • Premium (Green) – Items acquired from paid DLC
  • Limited (Orange) – Items acquired in seasonal or limited time promotional events, like Halloween.

The February Patch will introduce a new item quality: Uncommon (Light Blue). Featuring new Toppers and Antennas, this new item class will be found "uncommonly" after completing online-only matches. "Uncommon Item's" drop-rate won't have a fixed percentage like the season items do; instead, your chances of receiving an "Uncommon Item" increases the longer you play the game. After earning an Uncommon Item, the time resets and you start all over again.

Last month, Psyonix teased "aggressive" plans for Rocket League DLC in 2016, including new content, modes, Arenas, and "plenty of other cool things to keep you coming back and happy."
