RocketFrog brings the casino spirit to Facebook

The new RocketFrog app for Facebook offers an online gambling simulation.

The free-to-play casino awards real-life prizes to players who compete in tournaments of poker (Texas Hold ‘Em), blackjack, slots, and more. Games are available as small fields (30-100 players) or quick levels (2-5 minutes), and different advertisers will provide prizes such as movie tickets, music, and food.

Players are free to browse a number of tutorials, strategy articles, and pro tips, and can customize the experience by choosing their stakes and limits. They can also challenge friends, compare stats and rankings, and unlock in-game gifts that earn points toward the RocketFrog loyalty club — a center for various perks and benefits.

Right now all players can redeem a $10 online gift code to Creative Recreation, a lifestyle footwear brand. Tournament winners will receive a $50 code prize. Additional sponsors for the first month include Steve Angello from Swedish House Mafia, Young and Reckless, World of Dance, Abbey Dawn by Avril Lavigne, and Paul Oakenfold.

Casino industry veterans Brett Calapp, Matthew Osborn, and Uri Kozai founded RocketFrog in 2010.
