Rockstar Games announces Red Dead Redemption 2 guidebook

Rockstar Games has been quietly chipping away at the sequel to their acclaimed open-world western for the last five years or so. Because of the incredible amount of time and resources spent developing it, Red Dead Redemption 2 is likely going to be one of the biggest games to date and with that said, there’s going to be a lot to process and unpack.

This week, Rockstar Games announced that they’ll be releasing an official guidebook for Red Dead Redemption 2 which comes with in-depth breakdowns of missions, characters, and Rockstar’s version of the American heartland. The book will be available in two different forms, a standard edition for $24.99 and a collector’s edition for $39.99 when the game launches on October 26th, 2018.

“Packed with essential information about every mission, character, and feature of this vast and detailed world, the Standard Edition includes an at-a-glance walkthrough, dedicated maps chapter, comprehensive reference sections, and an all-encompassing index,” says Rockstar’s official store page. “The premium hardcover Collector’s Edition features everything from the Standard Edition, printed on superior quality art paper, and also includes an exclusive character art gallery.”

It’s unclear how many pages this bad boy has in it but if it’s anything like Grand Theft Auto V’s guidebook, it’ll be bursting at the seams with hundreds of pages filled with immense details on Rockstar’s highly anticipated western.

Red Dead Redemption 2 will launch on October 26th, 2018 for Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
