When Rockstar Games first announced the spring 2013 launch window for Grand Theft Auto 5, they only mentioned the game would be released on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. However, the demand for PC details had been so strong that the studio couldn't ignore it any longer. Only they still are.
Acknowledging fan requests for details about a PC version, Rockstar responded:
"Hey guys, glad to see so much enthusiasm about the release announcement. For those asking about the PC platform, we're currently focused on the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions of the game and don't have any details to share about a PC version at this time."
We still don't know if Rockstar has plans to release Grand Theft Auto 5 for PC, but seeing has how both GTA 4 and Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas were both released on PC, I don't see them ignoring the platform. If anything, it might just be released at a later time. Pre-orders for the console version will begin next week on November 5, 2012.
