Rockstar gets over 145,000 likes in 10 hours on vague tweet of their logo, Twitter account gains 40,000+ followers

Most companies have big reveals for their games at events like E3, PAX, or Gamescom. They come out on a big stage being streamed to millions of people and show off a flashy demo or trailer and the crowd goes wild! Rockstar Games, however, likes to do things a bit differently.

Today, Rockstar Games teased their next project, which many are assuming is a new Red Dead game, in a tweet that showcased their logo with a blood red background, similar to the box art of Red Dead Redemption. Rockstar did a very similar thing in 2011 by releasing an image of a green V which was the roman numeral for 5, a few days later they revealed Grand Theft Auto V.

The tweet that was released today made the internet explode with questions, jokes, and speculation. Within the hour, Red Dead was trending worldwide across social media platforms. They ammased tens of thousands of retweets and likes within just minutes and after just ten hours, the mysterious tweet has gotten over 145,000 likes and nearly 90,000 retweets. The official Rockstar Twitter account has gained over 40,000 followers since the tweet according to stat tracking site, SocialBlade. Rockstar has said nothing since the tweet and have just let the image speak for itself.

Stay tuned to GameZone for any updates on whatever Rockstar is teasing.
