Fans are eager for more content in Grand Theft Auto Online, and Rockstar Games is delivering. However, it'll take some time.
In the latest fan question mailbag, Rockstar was asked when we can expect more content for GTA Online, the multiplayer mode for Grand Theft Auto 5.
"To vens243 and others who are excited to show off their Heists spoils, beyond the many new vehicles and items that arrived to GTA Online as part of Heists, we are also working on another update coming soon that will feature some very cool new toys for you to enjoy and flaunt with your ill-gotten gains.," Rockstar said, including an image of new items probably coming with the update.
For those of you hoping for new heists, that could take a bit longer.
"Grand Theft Auto Online Heists were a tremendous undertaking so it’s not the sort of thing where we can easily create and publish additional Heists like other Job modes and missions," Rockstar said. "We are, however, working on other cool updates for GTA Online that you can expect over the coming months."
In the same Q&A session, Rockstar also revealed that this next update could be one of the last available on all five platforms, noting hardware limitations could prevent future content from arriving on the Xbox 360 and PS3. The first example of such is the Rockstar Editor which is only set to arrive on Xbox One and PS4.
