Rockstar working on ‘seasonal treats’ for GTA Online players

Without revealing too much, the developer Rockstar Games has teased plans for holiday-themed content in Grand Theft Auto Online.

"We prefer to keep such things as a surprise," Rockstar said when asked about a Christmas theme in GTA 5 again, "but without giving away any details (no peeking under the tree!), we can say that we do have a few season treats in the works for players on all four systems to enjoy this holiday season in GTA Online."

Rockstar promised that more details would be shared "very soon," but did at least hint that one of these treats could be a free gift. With online multiplayer heists still a bit away, Rockstar Games intends to offer players "a small Christmas gift to keep you entertained" while they put the finishing touches on the highly anticipated mode.

Rockstar announced yesterday that Heists are coming to GTA Online in "early 2015." While they couldn't offer a specific date, they did at least explain how these multi-layered missions will work with other players.
