Rocksteady's conclusion to the Batman Arkham series has been getting raving reviews from everyone – except PC players. Batman: Arkham Knight's launch on the PC has not been without difficulties, performance issues have left the game nearly unplayable.
Rocksteady has formally addressed the issues, stating that they are taking the situation "very seriously" and are working on a fix with their external PC development partner, Iron Galaxy Studios.
While they work with development teams, AMD and NVIDIA to get the game up and running, they have a few recommendations on how to get the game playable.
First off, do not touch the game files. Altering the games .ini files will "potentially negatively impact performance, including frame rate, and stability." The developers also noted that players should not disable and/or edit the size of their page file.
It is not recommend using NVIDIA’s GeForce Experience or AMD’s Gaming Evolved Optimization tools. At the moment neither Crossfire on AMD or Eyefinity (multi-monitor) on AMD are currently supported, but they will be in future updates from AMD.
In-game, you should be looking to have these settings either turned on or off, depending on what specs your PC has.

If you have yet to update your graphics card's drivers, Rocksteady has been stressing the "importance of having the latest drivers." Here's what drivers you should have running:
- NVIDIA GeForce users should use GeForce GameReady WHQL Driver version 353.30
- AMD users should use Catalyst 15.6 beta driver
If you are using Nvidia SLI, use the NVIDIA Control Panel to set one card as a dedicated PhysX card.
