Rodea the Sky Soldier Wii U disc will come with original Wii version

Following NIS’ annual press event a fortnight ago, we get even more Rodea the Sky Soldier news. The first print physical copies of the Nintendo Wii U disc will also come with the Wii version. If you’re anything like me you’re asking “why?” You know, since the Wii U can play Wii games. There is a reason though! The Wii version is a different version of the game that carries the creator Yuji Naka’s original vision of Rodea.

What I’m getting from this is that it’s a new / different experience than the Wii U version. I’m thinking it's like Resident Evil’s difference from the Resident Evil Director’s Cut. Regardless, any time you get two things for the price of one (minus horrible Umbrella diseases and debt), it’s a good thing! Take it with a grain of rice.

As a reminder, Rodea the Sky Soldier is coming out at an undisclosed date in Fall of 2015. This game will also be coming out for the Nintendo 3DS. Here are some key features!

  • Touch the Sky – Complete each mission by traversing the aerial kingdom of Garuda while solving puzzles and demolishing enemies! Take full control of the air to discover secrets of the past and hints of the future.
  • Colossal Battles – Engage in battles on an epic scale as you combat the massive automatons of the Naga army. Dodge and weave in acrobatic combat as you evade the behemoths’ attacks and locate their weaknesses.
  • Endless Hours of Fun – Replay your favorite levels to better your time and uncover numerous hidden objectives and items. Upgrade your gear to set new speed records and increase your score.
  • Competitive Multiplayer – Exclusive to the Wii version of the game, players can challenge their friends to see who has gained true mastery of the skies!
