Rogue Legacy finally gets Xbox One release date

If you have ever wanted to play a game on your Xbox One that had your offspring avenging you every time your character died and where each level is procedurally generated every time you play through them, then you're in luck.

Rogue Legacy is headed to the Xbox One on May 27th. It's a "genealogical Rogue-lite" game that does just that. Each time you are defeated in the game, an offspring of yours will take your place to avenge you in battle. The best part is no two offspring are the same, each is unique.

Every bit of gold you collect in the game is passed down to your successor, it can be used to strengthen your lineage or simply hoarded.

It might sound like a silly game, but it's actually pretty amazing. We ended scoring the game with a 9 out of 10, noting that at times the game can be extremely difficult:

Rogue Legacy is a hardcore game down to its roots, one that you'll inevitably pour hours upon hours into. Just try not to throw your controller at the wall.
